TESDA online program available in the mobile application

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on Thursday launched a mobile app that will help more Filipinos access the online vocational training program.

The TESDA Online Program (TOP) mobile app will enhance the mobile learning experience for TOP learners as they can access the courses offered even without an internet connection and then sync their progress when they access them.

“The TOP is a web-based platform that provides an effective and efficient means of delivering technical and vocational education and training (TVET) at the location and time of the learner,” TESDA noted.

TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña clarified that even with the introduction of the TOP mobile app, the learning platform is still accessible through the TOP website at https://e- tesda.gov.ph/.

“The TESDA online curriculum and TOP mobile app have been strengthened and redesigned to better bridge the digital divide and create a more exciting digital learning experience for our learners,” added Lapeña.

Additionally, TESDA has now introduced courses with accessibility features that will help people with disabilities (PWD).

Screen reading skills, Filipino Sign Language and audio narration have been incorporated into TOP courses such as NC II Food Processing and NC II Bread and Pastry Production.

“Enrollees will receive an electronic certificate of completion after completing a course. However, only those who enroll and take courses for full qualifications can undergo a skills assessment and receive a national certificate,” TESDA said.

Interested learners can download the TOP mobile app through Google Play Store and App Store. (JAFD/PIA-IDPD)
